I am not surprised by the following article. I have always been a fan of Care Credit, for lots of reasons including…of course…their advanced use of technology. As a participating dentist you can go online and get a loan approval for the patient in real time. That ease of use is one of the reasons I believe patients accept more treatment. It is just easier than any other type of financing.
I also like the linked article (from Dental Blogs) because again, for you scientific study types, here is some real evidence not just the usual - seems good to me approach - I am prone to take.
The 2009 study analyzed more than 1 million households and compared the behavior of patients who chose CareCredit as a financial resource, to those using cash, credit cards or another method of payment. The study found, over the five-year period following their initial CareCredit transaction, patients with CareCredit were more loyal and more likely to accept treatment recommended by their dentist, investing 44% more in their oral health (as measured in dollar value) and visiting the practice 25% more often.

Care credit makes case acceptance much higher. 44% increase is a major increase. Dentists need to provide these to their patients based on this fact.
